Boss Lady
Founder, Owner and Chief Operator of CoCo, Jenna runs everything behind the scenes. From checklists to playlists, she’s the wonder-woman that makes sure we get everything we want out of each shoot. Jenna will be your main point of contact and lead director, ask about her day job on the golf course if you want to hear about one of her other passions!
Sam
Creative Services
The man behind the camera. The pixel pusher. The energizer bunny. Sam is the lead creative for team CoCo. He’ll have a heavy influence on the final outcome of your shoot, so make sure to communicate your preferences or personal style. When he’s not creating for CoCo, he’s often found cooking up unnecessary syrups and elixirs for some small batch craft cocktails.
Mo
Human Resources
Mo. Morris. Mr Fluffy Gorgeous. He has many names but one job. And he does it well. In a word, that job is cuteness. Just the sight of him of can make you smile. Yes, he’s just as fluffy as he looks but our Director of Human Resources would like you to ask before you touch. He’s happy to come along for almost any photoshoot but can easily find a stack of paperwork and get stuck at the office.
What Kind of Photography Does CoCo Specialize In?
We are avid hikers that love hitting the trail — mountains, beach, rivers, lakes, forests, deserts, or whatever landscape is in front of us. We also love getting out on the water for some paddling (or just floating). And of course these outdoor activities come with lots of another favorite… camping!
But your shoot is about your adventure — whether your trails run through the concrete jungle or the boundless beauty of the back country. We’re ready and able to tag along on most trips and tackle a variety of adventures. Experience has taught us that a little planning goes a long way. Whatever your shoot idea is, let us know and we’ll figure out how we can make it happen!
On the Trail: Our strongest area of experience is in hiking but we’re ready to photograph for all sorts of adventures out on the trail including trail running, biking, snowshoeing and more!
On the Water: We love to paddle and float. Having our own experiences of joy on the water helps us understand the feeling even if you’re doing something beyond our abilities (we see you, kite surfers!). So whatever your water adventure, from canoe trips with the family to an adrenaline-filled day of surfing, we’ll be ready to capture a glimpse of that feeling!
On the Road: Roadtrip!!! One of our favorite family pastimes — hop in the car and go see some cool sh!t. We love driving through beautiful scenery, with plenty of stops, to visit a fun town or destination restaurant. Spend some perusing wine country? Yes, please! Wind up and back along both sides of the Columbia River? Let’s do it! You don’t even have to ask about the coast… we’ll see you there!
In Your Element: We all have our preferred spaces — they just can’t be beat. One of those for us is the love seat under the lights on our back deck. Just magical. If you have a special place — a staircase, a backyard space, a tree — we’ll get the pictures to save that place in time for whenever you need to go back, no matter where life takes you!
We are based in Milwaukie, OR — tucked in a beautiful neighborhood near the Willammette River in SE Portland area. From here, we’re able to easily reach west to the coast and east to the the mountains. Wineries, waterfalls, and all the other beautiful backgrounds in the Willammette Valley.
We offer adventure photography along the Oregon Coast, including Canon Beach, Manzanita, Tillamook, Astoria and the beaches and parks scattered in between (one of our most-visited locations is Oswald West State Park). We know there are some truly specials places a bit farther away and are willing to travel farther south on request (one of the most beautiful areas we’ve experienced on the cost is the Samuel H. Boardman corridor).
Some of our best adventure photography comes from the Mount Hood National Forest — Timberline Lodge, Trillium Lake, Lost Lake, Tamanawas Falls, Ramona Falls and many more trails, lakes, rivers and views. Beyond the magnificent natural beauty, we have also fallen in love with the unique markets, farm stands, plowed fields and orchards that lead you from the mountain back to civilization. For these gems, you can’t beat Hood River and the Fruit Loop (don’t skip the treats and samples from the Apple Valley Country Store!)
We can’t forget a classic and one of the first photography adventures we embarked on with Mo… chasing waterfalls! The Columbia River Gorge offers all the opportunity you could ask for — from the icons along Historic Highway 30 (pro tip: take the back way and hike when visiting Multnomah Falls). Or pack all the falls into one hike (even walk beneath a few), with ten falls in one magical loop and visit Silver Falls State Park.
Central Oregon has also been our host for one of our favorite areas we can’t photograph — hot springs! But we have gotten some truly fantastic pictures and memories in the nearby lava flows, alongside abundant waterways, and even amidst a flurry of migrating butterflies!
Not all adventures happen in Oregon and we’re ready to hit the road to get the right shots! We’ve traveled the Washington, California, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Kansas. We operate primarily on weekends and during evenings or mornings to accommodate the standard work schedule but are very flexible when we plan in advance. We began operating in the summer of 2021 and have enjoyed our adventures across Oregon, from Mount Hood to Secret Beach!
